Her interdisciplinary teaching and research focuses on innovation and commercialisation of biotechnology and pharmaceutical products, in particular how quickly novel and disruptive technologies can be developed and the impact of regulation. Her research has been published in leadings science and business journals such as Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Trends in Biotechnology, Health Affairs, and Industrial and Corporate Change. Lisette holds a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons), Masters of Technology and Innovation Management, and PhD.

Álvaro Rodriguez student of the Doctor of Biotechnology program

He is a full-time Mexican student of the Doctor of Biotechnology program at The University of Queensland, which is a higher degree by research program designed to train specialists in the application of management principles for research enterprises and biotechnology ventures. During his graduate studies, Alvaro had the opportunity to experience an industry placement at one of the leading biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing firms in Australia. His research interests focus on advanced bioenergy, business model design, and bioprocessing.
